The Wigamalefis part 9: Switches A No More Fakes Story (Saturday, Nov. 9) I visited with my friends on the project team. They all wanted to know where I went. I told them it was a planet full of people that look similar to what I am now. I filled them in on my adventures on Earth with all the humans. They all believed me. I think. But since I was a human now, they should believe me. If only I had stayed a wigamalefis during the transport. After the wigamalefi at work had enough storytelling, I decided to go home. I hadn't seen my parents in decades. The humans on Earth that adopted me when I transported into their kitchen were nice people, but I missed my real parents so much. My dad opened the door after I knocked. "Yes?" he grumbled in wigamalefis. I brought some paper and a pencil from the lab. I brought it out and wrote, "It's me, Dad." "Son?" he growled surprised. "Is that you? What happened?" He stepped aside so I could come in. "Where have you been?" "I'll explain it to everyone," I wrote. "Where's Mom?" "She's in the kitchen," he said. "Your sister is sleeping over at a friends house." I ran in the kitchen and gave Mom a big hug. "Mom, it's me," I wrote on the paper. She read it skeptically. Then she looked in my eyes and started crying. "I'm so glad you're back. What happened to you?" I wrote my story again. They couldn't understand how I could live on a planet that wasn't mostly covered in water. They were more curious about what I was now. I didn't have fur, antlers, or a tail. That was beyond their imagination. We talked and talked. Or rather they talked; I wrote. When we realized what time it was, we decided to go to bed. My room was the way it was all those years ago. I got ready and crawled into bed. I couldn't sleep. I was so happy to finally be home again. That strange feeling came. I was finally human again. But, now I'm stuck on this Wigamalefis home world. Maybe I could use the transporter to get back to Earth. That was how I devised Wiggy to end up on Earth to begin with. I had a sudden realization. I had made all of Wiggy's past story up. But, yet here I was sleeping in Wiggy's bed in his house. I couldn't have made that up. It was real. Dr. Meyer was right. My mind did get changed at the Raucous Chicken last week. Somehow, I started thinking I was human. All the memories I have of being Will the human must be what Wiggy created for me. "I really am a wigamalefis. I really am Wiggy," I said aloud in English. It felt strange speaking in English again. But, I never could have really spoken in English before. I had to have always been a wigamalefis. All this frightened me. I was running around after the Halloween party telling everyone I was Will the human, while all along I was really a part of Wiggy's imagination in control of his body. And here I went and turned him into a human to fit my needs. I did get him to his home though. If only I could give Wiggy control. Maybe if I start acting like a wigamalefis, I will be Wiggy again. At least in mind. Suddenly I my whole body itched. It felt like I itched all the way to my bones. Blue fur sprouted all over my body. I felt my tail grow. I could feel the weight of my antlers. I was a wigamalefis again. I managed to give Wiggy his home and his body. Now if only I could give him his mind. I wondered what would happen to me if Wiggy came back. Would I cease to exist? Would I live in his imagination? "Will?" asked a voice. It sounded like Sandy. But she was on Earth. "Will, where are you?" It sounded like her voice was coming from the closet. "Will!" she screamed. "Will, what's happened? Wake up!" There was a hint of crying in her voice. Her voice was definitely coming from the closet. But how? I got out of bed and opened the closet door. The closet wasn't there. There was a strange light flooding out of it. "Will!" Sandy's voice yelled. She was definitely scared. I stepped into the closet. I felt dizzy for a few seconds and I blacked out. I woke up on the floor. I was back in my house on Earth. Sandy was leaning over me. She noticed my eyes open. That funny feeling came again. "Will!" she said hugging me. "Are you ok? You scared me. What happened?" I started to tell her. But, then I realized that I was a wigamalefis again. So, I signed, "I went to my home world." "Oh, really?" she asked. "I realize now that I am not Wiggy as I have been saying. I know that I really am Will that somehow was transformed into Wiggy," I signed. She hugged me even tighter. "I knew you would snap out of it sooner or later," she cried. "So, don't call me Wiggy anymore. I want to go by Will. Until he claims his body." "I'll do that, Will," she lightly laughed. We spent the rest of the night talking. I told her about what happened. I found out that it was still Saturday. But, we mostly talked about how I should act as Will. I never tried to act like a human before. It is strange enough living with them, much less acting like them. We decided that Project F wouldn't work the way it was. So, I started thinking of revisions. Some how I need to give Will his body back. Later that night Sandy went home. I waved by to her. After getting ready, I hopped into bed. That funny feeling came. I couldn't sleep well, because I kept trying to think of a way to give Wiggy his body back. To be continued.
